Difficult Thunder Posture (Utkata Vajrasana) is also known as the “Difficult Diamond Pose”. This is prescribed to enable people to sit effectively in Lotus pose Padmasana. It is useful to address the weakness of the core, especially the abdomen and the spinal cord. It is useful in treating gout or stiffness of the knee.

How to Execute Utkata Vajrasana:

  1. Lie down in Vajrasana.
  2. Place the arms as in Matsyamudra.
Practice: Difficult Thunder Posture (Utkata Vajrasana) 3 times x 30 seconds each.
