Tofu Skin Roll w/ Sweet Sour

Dada Shivananda

Tofu skin is a cream of soy milk skimmed and hung to dry out. Once the boiling soy milk surface slightly hardens, it is picked up with a stick and left to dry. After drying, it is packed in sheets or rolled up and used for various dishes. It is cut into pieces and sauteed in soups, stir fry veggies. We make amazing nuggets out of the skin mixed with flour and vegetables. You can buy them at most Asian shops.

We rolled up the tofu skins for this recipe to look like sausage links. We cut them up so they become delicious chewy bites. They’re great protein vessels for the Sweet Sour Sauce and go well with some rice. This is quick and simple to make, another creative way to add new items to your weekly menu.
